The World Awaits

A wilderness that
remembers you

Every hill, cave and shoreline is generated and persisted on a real authoritative server — even in single-player. Place a block, fell a tree, light a fire: the world keeps it, saves it, and is waiting exactly as you left it the next time you return.

Built from the ground up in a custom C# engine on OpenGL — no off-the-shelf game engine, no shortcuts. Cascaded shadows, volumetric god rays, a baked atmospheric sky and a living day/night cycle give the blocky world a soul.

  • Authoritative client/server — singleplayer & multiplayer share one code path
  • Persistent SQLite worlds that survive every save & reload
  • Moddable by design — data-driven JSON + a clean mod API; community modding opens in the near future

When the sun goes down

The night is not
on your side

Torchlight flickers against the trees. Something with too many legs is watching from the grass. Build walls, hold your ground, and live to see the dawn.

Frequently
asked questions

Still stuck? Reach out — we answer fast.

Is the game really free?

Yes — completely free. The full game with no paywalls, and no account required to play offline.

Which platforms are supported?

Currently Windows (64-bit). The engine is built cross-platform from day one, so Linux and macOS builds are planned for the near future.

Do I need an account to play?

No account is needed for single-player. Online multiplayer uses a lightweight, token-based login to keep your name yours.

Can I host my own server?

Not yet — multiplayer currently runs on the official Global Server, where everyone can play together. Self-hosted servers are planned for the near future.

Is it moddable?

The game is designed for modding from the ground up — blocks, items, recipes, world-gen and even entities are data-driven JSON behind a clean mod API; the whole base game is itself a mod. Community mod support isn't open yet and arrives in the near future.

Will my worlds survive updates?

Worlds are persisted to a per-world database with the seed saved alongside them, so reloading restores what you left. During early development a major update can occasionally require a fresh world — the patch notes will always say so beforehand.
